And eBay thinks they have problems with their feedback system. It amazes me why they can't institue a policy for sellers listing items that match their system policies. No one should have to wait for 12 weeks for any product to show up. You can order magazines and have them in 10 days... (I just used my frequent flier mileage to subscribe to Newsweek and had my first copy in 10 days)

The point is why would eBay even allow a seller to list an item that their protection policies would not cover? Seems insane to me.

Hi, Meridith:
I think ebay ought to be responsible for all of this scam. The reason is you can find "Magazine Subscriptions" as a sub-category in "books" on ebay. Magazine subscriptions are very special, usually it takes 12 or more weeks for the first issue to be delivered to your home. Thus neither current paypal or ebay buyer protection can really protect us. How can they open such a category without any proper protection?

I too have been scammed by magazinexpress. I ordered 3 years of TV Guide on April 23, 2007 on e-bay. I received 2 responses from the seller (name Lori) but now, nothing. I too wish I knew what I can do about it.
